If I had my druthers, I'd spend a full day with an organization. Not only does it allow me to dive a little deeper in the HMW paradigm, but I feel like there is a bit of relationship building when we spend more time together. Such was the case when I spent a day with Glendora Unified in February. I did a keynote for the whole staff and 2 workshops about culture building with two groups that signed up for an extended session. These workshops continue to evolve and they help me implement the vision on a larger scale.
What was fun on this day was running into a friend named Kyle who had helped me out a year ago at a large gig I had done in San Diego. By the time the day was done, not only did I connect with him, he introduced me to his colleagues during lunch. By the time I left, I felt like I was leaving friends; a good way to get in tune on a message. I will stay in touch with them and hope we can continue sharing our hopes for a future where we count our victories with our students and each other.
